About Us

Roll Ball is a game played between two teams. Roll Ball is played on ROLLER SHOES. Each team consists of 12 (Twelve) players, 6(six) on the field and 6(Six) in reserve. The main objective of the game is to score maximum goals within a stipulated time. The main feature of Roll Ball is that the ball is held in single or both the hands, even when passing on to the other players, and is repeatedly bounced on the ground. The main aim of International Roll Ball Federation is to promote this new Born game in all countries of the world and to make this game popular among the school and college students. This event will help the students / players to Interact & exchange their Cultural values and views with others. It will also create a sense of unity and brotherhood between them.ROLL BALL, a fast growing sport of the century now has spread its wings throughout the world. It has received attention of various people in the sports fraternity and applauds from the people. Roll Ball has now become the heart throb of all the youth.

PLAYING COURT

The court size can vary from 28 to 40 metres (92 to 131 ft) in length and 15 to 20 metres (49 to 66 ft) in width. The court includes a center-line dividing offensive and defensive areas. The penalty line is drawn 4.5 m or 3.5 m away from the goal. Free Throw line or Goalkeeper's line or D arena is 3.5 m to 2.5 m away from the goal. The playing court is marked by 5 cm boundary line. All other lines are marked by red or white color. The court is any hard surface. A 3-meter line is drawn as a safety margin outside the boundary line. The goal is 2.25 meters wide by 2.00 meters height.

EQUIPMENTS

The roll-ball can be used by more than one player in the game. It is not an individual equipment.

RULES

  1. The players must wear protective gears such as the helmet and knee pads during a match.
  2. The goalkeepers should also wear a chest protector.
  3. The goal post for U-11 and U-14 categories is 1.75 m high and 2 m wide, made of nylon net.
  4. The goal post for U-17 category and senior classes is 2.25 m high and 2.5 wide with 1 m depth.
  5. The ball used in roll ball is similar to a regular basketball. For U-11 and U-14 categories, it follows size-5 with the pressure of 450 to 500 gms and the circumference of 60 to 70 cm. For the U-17 category and other senior classes; the ball used has the circumference of 75 to 78 cm.
  6. The playing area for roll ball is 28-40 long with a width of 15-20 m.
  7. The entire playing court is marked with a 5 cm boundary line, along with other lines, marked in red or white colour. This court is made of a hard surface such as concrete, wood or clay.
  8. There is a free throw line also regarded as D arena or Goalkeeper's line, which is 3.5 to 2.5 m away from the goal post.
  9. The roll ball matches are played between two teams with 6-players in each side. A single game is played for two 20-minute periods.
  10. If the game is tied, then it is extended for an extra period of up to 5 minutes.
  11. The players cannot run on the stoppers during a match.
  12. The players are required to pass the ball within 3 seconds if they stop dribbling of the ball.
